We are one of the last remaining scalemakers who repair or restore the Avery 3706 Deadweight Coal Scale used by Coal Merchants throughout the UK.

We manufacture all replacement fabricated & machine parts for this particular model of scale.

All repaired machines are submitted to the Dept. of Trading Standards for verification & stamping.

A repair service is available for other types of deadweight scales including the Avery 456,

Gibbs & Windle Bantam and Hilliker models.

We also provide an adjustment & stamping service for trade weights.

The care and attention to detail we put into our work is reflected in the fact that one of our customers weighs in excess of 4,500 tonnes of coal between repairs.  Reference available.

Restorations are to as new condition. Made & remade in England in any colour you want, as long as it's black.
